The Silver Pageant is a concept singles project. This concept surrounds a group of Colorado-based artists who have come together and donated cover songs in the memory of musician, poet and cartoonist David Berman. The selected songs from the Silver Jews catalog are offered as a free download with an additional 'Name Your Own Price' option being directed to Southern Poverty Law Center.

"The SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality." They provide legal assistance to the oppressed, compile data on hate groups in the U.S.A., and education both law enforcement and the public on these groups.
